The goal?
To create a memorable drinkware brand within a very competitive promotional product space. Highlight the link between this new brand and the existing company house brands.
I landed on the name Aura. Which by definition is "the distinctive atmosphere or quality that seems to surround and be generated by a person, thing, or place."
In the company's case, it was that distinctive quality that is generated by a brand purchasing these products.
The spelling was changed to Ora. I wanted something more stylized and circular to play off the symbol that as created.
The symbol or logo mark is a reflection of that surrounding energy but it has a secondary meaning in that it represents a water ring left over from a glass.
One of the main ideas behind Ora was that it was to pair seamlessly with other house brands in terms of colors, textures, and decoration. Personality is often represented as color, which lead into the tag line.
I wanted this tag line to tell to our customers in that the products in the collection were expressive, that they are meant to represent a brands personality. This personality was partly shown through the names of the bottles like "Trend Setter", "Head Honcho", or "Cool Cat".
